Who we are

Mas Blanc is the result of the work of generations of the historic Tetas family of wine growers. Now leading the family dream is Joan Josep Tetas, a 3rd-generation family member. His family and his roots are the driving force behind his passion, and his goal is to continue honoring the good work we have always done while combining it with the precision allowed by using the latest wine technologies. In addition to his family’s unconditional support, he also has a large team of professionals who look after the vineyard, harvest the grapes and handle the winemaking processes to create excellent wines, full of personality, that combine tradition and quality.

OUR ORIGIN

Everything began in Sant Cugat Sesgarrigues, where the Tetas family estate was located. From the outset, these lands were used to grow vines, and wine was made in the country house until, in 1942, Josep Maria Tetas built the winery in Vilafranca and founded the Pinord company.

PIONEERS IN NEW VARIETIES

Pinord has always been a pioneer in introducing foreign varieties to Penedès, and in practicing alternative processing methods in the area, such as those needed to make semi-sparkling wine. We grow Chardonnay, Macabeo, Xarel · lo, Parellada, Moscatel and Gewürztraminer for our white wines, and Tempranillo, Garnacha Tinta, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot for our reds.

FROM PENEDÈS TO PRIORAT

For 150 years, the roots of Pinord have been growing and taking hold in Penedès. Although the company has grown a lot in size - the current 108 hectares of vineyards are divided into three estates in different municipalities - Mas Blanc continues to produce wine in Priorat, in keeping with the family tradition.
